When I first placed my vote a week ago, I had barely started shopping for the holidays. I am happy to announce after a week full of scouring sales both on foot and virtually, I am almost finished with my shopping.
My homemade gifts are not so close to being finished. Please pass me the paper bag. I have exactly 2 weeks until my shipping deadline, so I will continue to keep chugging along. I apologize if my posts in this time seem kind of weak, but honestly, the only thing I can think about right now is getting those things done.
- I don’t have one gift ready- either bought or made (38%, 8 Votes)
- I have a few items either bought or made (29%, 6 Votes)
- I am almost done! (19%, 4 Votes)
- I am about half way done (10%, 2 Votes)
- I don’t give gifts during the holidays (5%, 1 Votes)
Total Voters: 21
This week’s poll also makes me want to get out the paper bag. I love politics and am excited to see what becomes of the 2008 elections, but have to say that I don’t have one candidate in mind that is the answer to my hopes and dreams. Am I the only one feeling like this?
I found this really cool site, The Political Compass, a month or so ago and think it’s nothing short of awesome. I really like this test over the other political indicating test because it suggest how you measure up not only nationally, but globally.
I came up with the same coordinates as the Dalai Lama- I think that is so cool! I was quite surprised with the results, but think they are quite accurate as far as my political ideas. If nothing else, this test helped put my ideas and beliefs into an understandable category. I am a registered Independent, but have been wary of where I really fit. Now I know and I am sure my conservative republican parents are having a coronary…
I would love to hear your test results. I understand politics is a private thing and completely respect if you keep your results to yourself. If that is the case, I would still love to hear what you think of the test. Do you think it is accurate?
Oh, and don’t forget to vote for this weeks poll!
I am thankful for…
our right to vote. Not only do not all countries enjoy this freedom, but many women do not have this right. I am thankful that in this country we have a choice to voice our opinions and have them counted.
