So long, farewell, it’s time to say good-bye
NaPoBloMo has come to an end. I am thankful and couldn’t be happier.
I am not sure why this month has been especially difficult for me, as I usually post 6 days a week already. One would surely think an extra day a week wouldn’t kill me, but alas, it almost has.
I have been in a blogging fog. I have missed commenting on other blogs. I have not replied to my commenters. I haven’t done my normal planning and organizations and checks and balances on my own blog. I have fallen into a rut and I can’t get out!
So I say to you, NaPoBloMo, so long…
30 days of thanks is over. I am ready. While it has been a great way to reflect on my gratitudes, I have started feeling sluggish with coming up with things that I can actually share with the world or that are worthy of writing about. I have many things I am thankful for that I didn’t post because of the situation with who reads my blog. I hate feeling restricted like that.
I enjoyed doing the thankful tree with my family, but after Thanksgiving started to get resistance on a daily basis so gave up on pushing that. I think it was a great lesson for our family and I am very thankful that we did it. We will definitely be doing this again next year, but once the Christmas decorations went up the spirit seemed to change. I am not saying the family is not thankful, because I have noticed that at random times they are now mentioning items that they are thankful for, which is new, but motivation has seemed to change.
Farewell, 30 days of thanks….
As I mentioned before, I am needing a little blogging break. I am not talking about a month or even more than a few weeks. I am not sure exactly how long yet, but starting tomorrow I am taking a short hiatus.
While you won’t be seeing any new post showing up here on boogiemum for that time, you may see some old posts that I will be pulling out of the depth of yesterday’s news and rewinding for another spin around.
You will also be seeing me around the web. I plan on catching up with all my daily fixers, having tea with my friends on Cre8buzz, and doing a little behind the scenes work on my blog.
I foresee some changes coming on my blog and need to research, catch up, and renew myself to keep on keeping on.
Thank you to all of you who participated in 30 days of thanks, it was such a joy to see the number of people who got in the spirit.
And with that, it’s time to say goodbye…

Yay! We made it!! Enjoy your break! Will miss reading your posts, but will be back when you are back.
After seeing your tree, we attempted something similar (we added turkey feathers daily), but only lasted about two weeks (and not even every day of those two weeks). Good for you guys for following through so well!

Enjoy your vacation! I’ll be missing your posts too. I’m really glad I found your blog. You keep me mindful that I don’t always have to be so cynical and jaded and good people are still around in this world!
And thank you for the thankful tree idea. It was a great little project for our family. I’ve noticed the same new phenomena in our house of the kids randomly mentioning things they are thankful for now.
