2 for 1

I have been a bad, bad blogging buddy. Awhile back I had been tagged for 2 separate memes and I have yet to fulfill one. Well, today’s the day. I am getting caught up.

The beautiful and talented Catherine tagged me for the Five Things Meme. She wants to know 5 things that I never pictured in my future when I was 25 years old. Even though this was only 6 years ago, it really does seem like a lifetime.

1. When I was 25, I didn’t think I would ever be a mom. I had been told by doctors that it would be very difficult, almost next to impossible, for me to get preggo. Later that year I got pregnant with Ty.

2. At 25 I couldn’t imagine not shopping as a hobby. Now I can’t imagine shopping without a specific list.

3. I couldn’t dream that I would still be living in FL. Yup, still here. Now I am thinking hoping maybe we will move by 35?

4. Driving a mini-van? At 25 I would of probably laughed.

5. At 25 I thought my life would be so much more sophisticated and interesting after 30. I have found it to be as interesting as I make it, but not nearly as sophisticated as I had dreamed. Peanut butter and jelly anyone?

Now onto Meme 2. Miss Mama Zen, known famously for her wit and gorgeous hair, has tagged me with a meme forcing me to pull post from my yesterday’s news.

Family- This one is an important reminder to me to tell my family how I feel about them, before I lose that chance.

Friends- I don’t have a lot and I like it that way

Me- I am my biggest enemy

My favorite post- This is my fav by far…

SO who wants to play along?

I also apologize for my a lack of coherence.  I am fighting off a horrible cold and whatever else the kids had last week.

Those dang colds! Tell you what in two years I will do the first meme (I’m only 24-ha!) However I did not think I would be getting married until 30 or 35. Ok anyway, J tells me I’m never allowed to drive a mini van, he says we will always have SUV’s–wonder if he plans on getting a 2nd job to pay for the gas in those things?

Anyway, nice to hear from you again-get better quick!

I’m so happy for you that you had a lousy OB/GYN when you were 25! A doctor once told me that I would never be able to have a vaginal birth. My longest time pushing out of my four vaginal births was 13 minutes. Go figure!

Oh, don’t feel bad about your blogging habits. January kicked my BUTT. I am so so very behind in my blog reading. In fact, I’m sneaking this comment in during my lunch hour. Just wanted to say thanks for playing. You gave such honest, heartfelt answers (as usual). Thanks for sharing! I like Mama Zen’s meme. I might just have to do that one… when I’m comfortably settled into February. :)
