Wine of the Week…
Vieux Chateau Gachet Lalande-de-Pomerol- Vintage 2001 This is a sweet bordereaux wine that is nicely balanced with a twist of smoky oak. It has a smooth texture that is neither thick or watery, but definitely deeper scarlet than most bordeaux. Harvested in France, this wine can cost upwards to $50.00 plus a bottle, but also can be found at a rewarded price of $15.00 if shopped around.
Once again, another wonderful wine that my hubby picked up for me. (I am beginning to wonder if he likes to keep me “buzzed” lol) This wine goes down easy and is definitely recommended if in a pinch, but as Spice assisted in my awareness, I am trying to move away from the French wines, so it will not be added onto my favorite list…
This “question of the day” was taken from my Starbucks cup today…
“…if young people were actively engaged in all aspects of society, and thought of themselves as community leaders, problem-solvers, role models, mentors, and key ’stakeholders’… how would the world change?” -Jennifer Corriero co-founder of TakingITGlobal.org
