Start your morning with a little cheese
We have a little tradition going on at the boogie abode. On Sunday mornings, Hubby and I make the kids a special treat for breakfast. One week we might make donuts (the kid’s favorite by far) and another week it might be waffles.
This week we made cheese danishes and they were so good! I definitely am going to add this recipe to the rotation and plan on experimenting next time by mixing in a little fruit, Oh, and better yet, not only are they very yummy, but quick, easy and inexpensive at that!
- 2 pkgs. refrigerated bread sticks
- 8oz. box of cream cheese
- 1/4 C. powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
Frosting:
- 1 Tbsp. of milk
- 1 C. powdered sugar
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Pop open the bread stick tubes, pull those coils out and place bread sticks, still coiled up, on an ungreased cookie sheet. In the center of each coil, press down and make a nice big indentation.
In a bowl, mix together cream cheese, lemon juice and sugar. Place about a 1 1/2 tablespoons of the mixture into the center of the bread stick coils.
Bake for about 15 minutes or until the top is starting to lightly brown.
While those are cooking, mix together frosting.
Take danishes out, drizzle frosting on top and enjoy!

You make this look really simple! I don’t know if I can pull it off, but it looks worth a try.

Holy yum. Thanks.
P.S. Have you ever done Monkey Cake? That’s the big request around these parts.

These sound good — and simple, too. I like making muffins on weekends. My family’s latest favorites have been rhubarb muffins and basic blueberry. Yum.
