Boogie Bits…

Today

at Chuck E. Cheese…

Toby: Hello, Bob the Builder. (hugs little statue) I miss you.

In the car…

Toby: Mumma? I’m cute!

Later…

Ty: (when I stopped to let someone cross the street) Good job taking turns, Mumma.

At A’s eye appointment… (all said loud enough to make everyone stare)

Ty: Mumma! There’s a pirate! (man with a patch on his eye)

Toby: Mumma? Why does that lady look like an alligator? (lady with very prominent teeth)

Toby: I have poopie that won’t come out, Mumma! Mumma! My pooipe is stuck!

I am thankful for…
my easy pregnancies. It may be kind of weird to think that now, 3 years later, but I started thinking about how fortunate I am when tragedy struck a sweet mother in Ty’s class. She was due with her 2nd child, a boy, tomorrow on Thanksgiving. This past Sunday her baby went into distress and she ending up losing him. I cried when the grandma brought Ty’s friend, the sister, to class for the Thanksgiving show on Tuesday and she told me. She broke down too and just the thought of how horrible and how difficult it must be to carry a baby for 9 months, everything going smoothly, until a few days before you are expecting to bring him home blows my mind. It affects me so deeply to know how they must be hurting; I can’t even fathom how the family must feel. So hug your kids a little tighter, my friends. I am the first to say that my kids can drive me insane, but I can’t imagine the world without them…

Oh, how hard for everyone! How devastating.

I had a really hard pregnancy with Arabis and it was a battle for the last three weeks to keep her in (she was born at 37 weeks) due to my severe preeclampsia. I can’t imagine what it would’ve been like if we’d lost her.

So, yes, I’m very thankful for my girl. And a little in fear of the time when her language skills improve to the point when she can loudly inform me in public that her “poopie is stuck!”

Oh, and have a great Thanksgiving!

I get “My poo poo doesn’t feel like swimming.”

    Happy Thanksgiving!

    Your kids are so cute!

That is so sad for the family. My sister almost went through the same thing after 5 miscarriags then a complicated delivery. A week went by with her little boy being touch and go. It got very scary!
I’m so thankful I had it so easy too.

Oh! That breaks my heart. Having kids can be scary. So you’re right… I’m off to hug the rugrats and thank God for the doctors that performed my c-sections without any hitches.

    Happy Thanksgiving, Boogiemum!!
