2 for 1

I have been a bad, bad blogging buddy. Awhile back I had been tagged for 2 separate memes and I have yet to fulfill one. Well, today’s the day. I am getting caught up.

The beautiful and talented Catherine tagged me for the Five Things Meme. She wants to know 5 things that I never pictured in my future when I was 25 years old. Even though this was only 6 years ago, it really does seem like a lifetime.

1. When I was 25, I didn’t think I would ever be a mom. I had been told by doctors that it would be very difficult, almost next to impossible, for me to get preggo. Later that year I got pregnant with Ty.

2. At 25 I couldn’t imagine not shopping as a hobby. Now I can’t imagine shopping without a specific list.

3. I couldn’t dream that I would still be living in FL. Yup, still here. Now I am thinking hoping maybe we will move by 35?

4. Driving a mini-van? At 25 I would of probably laughed.

5. At 25 I thought my life would be so much more sophisticated and interesting after 30. I have found it to be as interesting as I make it, but not nearly as sophisticated as I had dreamed. Peanut butter and jelly anyone?

Now onto Meme 2. Miss Mama Zen, known famously for her wit and gorgeous hair, has tagged me with a meme forcing me to pull post from my yesterday’s news.

Family- This one is an important reminder to me to tell my family how I feel about them, before I lose that chance.

Friends- I don’t have a lot and I like it that way

Me- I am my biggest enemy

My favorite post- This is my fav by far…

SO who wants to play along?

I also apologize for my a lack of coherence.  I am fighting off a horrible cold and whatever else the kids had last week.

In case you were wondering

About where I have been:

Starting Sunday night, Ty came down with a nasty virus which included a high fever with a migraine style headache on the side. This lasted until Wednesday. During this time he would barely let me leave him, most of the time requiring that I hold his hand and repeat to him how much I love him. Silly boy.

Starting on Tuesday, Toby came down with another upper respiratory infection throwing him into several asthma attacks which usually end in him puking for the next 10 minutes. Let’s just say in one night we went through 5 sets of sheets. The next night was only 3. Yay.

Thursday, I took Ty to his scheduled 5-year old check up where the sweet doc gave him a few shots. This of course sent Ty back into fever, all the while he tried to finish training Thursday and Friday for his TKD testing. He was so tired and really had to push himself through the classes. He did it though, and I am so proud. Today he tested and now is the proud owner of an advanced yellow belt. (Pictures to come after the ceremony on Monday.)

These situations afforded me very little sleep this week. I kept looking at my laptop thinking “must blog” and then I would quickly realize “can’t put together a sentence. too sleepy.”

js-cam-217b.jpgThis week also brought the return of my camera, which seems to work fine, albeit filthy and smelling disgusting. I am taking it into the shop to be examined to see what the supposed problems may be.

I also had the pleasure to deal with someone stealing some of my pictures off my CC protected blog. Yes, this blog is licensed. The offender continues to amaze me with her Britney Spear’s like ideas, although, she is not as rich, attractive, or interesting. To watch, listen, or hear them is just painful. I want to scream at the screen to get some common sense, but I know they are going to continue to do the same stupid things over and over again. Ultimately, I feel tied between frustration and pity.

I let it go, because the my energy is not worth wasting . The person obviously has issues, “Bless her heart,” if they feel the need to intentionally steal and then fight me over it.

bloghoppers_buttonsmarg_button200.gifOh. and I should probably mention another small thing I have done a few times in the past week. A little more today than normal. Actually, I am surprised I can even type with my tired fingers. Let’s just say I have been rocking me some Guitar Hero!

Now, onto the second part of being a rockstar- BlogHopping. Cheers y’all…
