Toby didn’t go to school today and apparently Ty didn’t want to either…

“Mummy, my head hurts.”

“I think you will be ok.”

“But I can’t go to school. I am sick too.”

“Well, if you are too sick to go to school, then you can go home and lay in bed all day.”

“I’m not that sick. Mom? No one at school wants to be my friend.”

“Ty, that is not true. Everyone I know wants to be your friend.”

“No one will play with me.”

“Ty, you are being silly. You just have to ask. You always are playing with people when I see you.”

“Mom, you are making my head hurt - giving me a headache. I can’t go to school.”

(Annoyed) “Ty that is being fresh and you are going to school. Go play with Lorenzo.”

Later when I kissed and hugged him goodbye…

“Mom? Will you take care of Toby for me while I am at school?”
