Playin’ Hookey…

Right now I am supposed to be at one of the Fall Festival Meetings that I have spoke of recently. It seems things are all catching up with me as I am so exhausted this afternoon.I had a very interesting morning filled with little surprises from my Toby. Let’s just say he took off his diaper twice this morning and then did his thing. After wrangling the kids to get ready, and Toby to keep his clothes on, I went to Ty’s school to assist making Challah bread with 8 classes of kids ranging from 2 to 4 years old…. Ahhh…. hot and tiring, as I was the one to supervise the oven. They came out great, the kids had fun, Ty was ecstatic to see his mum, and my help was greatly appreciated as very few other parents volunteered.
After school, my friend and I took the kids to Johnny Rockets for lunch. Ty was so wound up he was literally jumping on the seats while Toby was eating a crayon. Precious kids, I tell you. By the time I got home it was late in the afternoon and the boys went down for a nap. I had full intentions of getting a few things done, but heard Toby crying and woke up in a pile of laundry I was apparently folding before I passed out , so I lost that opportunity today. Such is life sometimes… Ty kept on sleeping and I didn’t even walk to get A because I didn’t want to wake him up. Then it was almost time for us to leave to go to the meeting at A’s school and Ty was still not up so I called in sick. Bad volunteer, boogiemum, bad!
