Toby’s Treasure
Toby: Ty, I got a treasure for you at school today.
Ty: No you didn’t!
Toby: Yes, I was a “pi-yit” and my friends and I were digging for buried treasure.
Ty: There is no such thing as buried treasure, Toby. If you have some for me, where is it?
Toby: It’s a surprise. I will show you when we get home.
Upon arriving home, boys take off their shoes.
Toby: See, Ty! Here is your treasure! (he dumps a large amount of playground sand on the floor.)

That’s so cute! Isn’t that what you were thinking when you were cleaning up the playground sand?

Ha! Heather’s right, great except for mom having to pick it up!

I thought you were going to say a worm fell out of his shoe. Probably would’ve been easier to clean up!

That is not where I thought it was going either. But, definitely better than if it were a worm - ew!
BTW, totally unrelated, but M is convinced that there is buried treasure at Lowry Park Zoo … she was studying a map of the zoo the other day, and saw a spot where there was an X where two paths crossed (near the sloth bears and I can’t remember which other animals), and told me she wanted to go there the next time we are down, to look for treasure
… (You might read this story again, because I think I might need to blog it ;))

Oh that’s cute. Boys will be boys. Err I mean, kids will be kids. At least it was only sand, right?

Sugar and spice and everything nice that’s what little girls are made of, little frogs and puppy dogs tales, that’s what little boys are made of. (And a bunch of dirt!)
Oh boy BOYS!
