giant discussion
A big theme with Ty lately has been discussing people that look different than us. He have gotten over the race issue, over the gender issue and is now curious on the physical disabilities.
He has tons of questions about people in wheelchairs, little people and people that are blind. A lot of times he starts out his conversation with me about it, telling me he doesn’t like blah, blah, blah or he thinks it is weird that yada, yada, yada.
So, when we were in the car the other day and he told me he really doesn’t like the giants, I went into my spiel.
“Ty, giants are people just like us, just taller. They aren’t mean…”
“Mom”
“Ty let me finish. They just grew really tall and that is all. They can be nice people, there is nothing to be afraid of about…”
“Mom!”
“Ty, let me finish”
“Mom, I am talking about the FOOTBALL team.”

Those darn giants can be so pesky! Always banging their heads on my ceiling and breaking my chairs.
