New Style

It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year
It’s the most wonderful time of the year
with the kids fighting and yelling
and my MIL telling you
“be careful what you eat, my dear!”
“you don’t want to get even fatter this year.”
It’s the hap-happiest season of all
signing 100s of Christmas card greetings
waiting for hubby in all day meetings
seeing my friends at the mall
It’s the hap-happiest season of all.
There will be school parties for hosting
turkeys for roasting and
half burnt out light strands aglow
there will be scary lead toy stories
tales of the glories of stress free Christmases
long, long, ago
It’s the most wonderful time of the year
There will be too much crowded shopping
headaches a popping
when loved ones are near
It’s the most wonderful time of the year!
