Boy, does A Mom’s Life at NeenMachine know how to put a smile on my face! She awarded me with my very-first-ever-in-the-whole-world blogging award. This Blogging Star Award was created by Skittles’ Place, stop and say “hi!”Yes, I got a gold medal for the BlogOlympics, but that was something entirely different. I wasn’t chosen.

For the last 3 years I have been sitting on the side bench swinging my legs, humming a little tune and pretending that it didn’t matter that I was never picked to play kickball, I mean,to receive a blogging award. My long await is over and it couldn’t come a better time, as the last few days have been tough.

I am going to be passing the award along, but haven’t decided to whom yet. I will be doing it via email, as I prefer to do this more privately. I know how it feels to not be the one to have my name highlighted.

This may be the only post I put up today, although I have an awesome mushroom recipe I want to post for my girl’s over at Home EC 101. Seriously, if you haven’t been over there before, I highly suggest dropping in! They are absolutely awesome and having a mushroom recipe contest right now.

I have very limited time, as I am scrambling trying to throw some semblance of a schedule together, while searching for a new school for Ty. That’s right. I yanked him out of his school yesterday. The last straw being that I had to push through a variable blockade to walk him to class. When speaking with the director about it, getting nothing but a run around. This was just a culmination of many things, but I just couldn’t take anymore. I will post a complete update on this topic in the next few days…

Alright, I am off to scour the Florida VPK website to find a school!
