I blatantly brag about completing Op. Christmas Sew

I wish I could say that during my break I have been sitting by my pool drinking a sweet margarita and listening to my ipod, but alas, no. First off, my pool is currently green and is acting more as a frog pond than a refreshing oasis. Second, uhm, I have 3 kids. No time for that kind of stuff.

The more realistic setting you would of witnessed is me hunched over a sewing machine cursing the fact that there is just no space for a comfortable sewing machine setup, screaming at the boys to “get back in bed” and “No, Santa is not coming tonight, but he IS watching you!” And drinking? Probably a cup of tea that was hot about an hour ago, that I am too lazy busy to get up and reheat.

After all the huff and puff over it all, I am rather pleased with the results. Here are the 2 other pug-a-poes:

I think the yellow fleece one for my baby niece doesn’t take a picture so well, but is my favorite so far.

I also have been working on 2 of these for the grandparents:

Unfortunately, I had to black out A, to show you, because of certain situations that I am sure my long time readers can guess…

Of course, now that I have finished those, I have about 100 other projects I want to do. I am starting to wish that I never came upon the wonderful blog of Sew, Mama, Sew. Darn (get it? like sew?) them for being so cool!

I am done. Operation Completed. I am done shopping, and almost done wrapping. The packages are out in the mail today. I have one batch of pound cake to bake a hamster to pick up on Christmas eve and that’s it. Anyone want to join me for a cup of cold hot tea?

hi there - just wanted to quickly drop by and say hello, seeing that neen tagged you with my “favourite words” meme.

i gotta confess, it’s been years (centuries?) since i last made xmas gifts by hand. every year i say, i’m gonna do it this time and then … and to think that the way i was brought up, buying xmas gifts was unthinkable! times change …

Yes I do! And those are super cute. What a great idea for the pilllow! I so wish I could just come up with things like this. I’m not one who doesn’t put heart into gifts, I just can’t come up with things to make!

    Have a great day!

I still have till May. I’ll either complain so much he’ll finally be quiet or he’ll kill me. One or the other. I play nice until the noise reduction time (10 pm) and then I turn mean…I don’t like my sleep interrupted! And I thought the last tennants were loud–ha, who was I kidding!

    Anyway, have a great day!

Yep, done shopping, almost done wrapping. Yep, cold tea. Yep, still cranking away on the homemade gifts :-). Yours are super cute though! I’ll have to get the pattern from you if Santa brings my sewing machine…

Those gifts are great! I am sure that the recipients will love them. If only I was as crafty as you, I would make more of my gifts. I am happily done with all of my shopping, just have to start wrapping for Christmas, now that Chanukah is almost over….

Cute little pug-a-poes and the pillow is nice too! I still have to finish my Christmas sewing. I finally finished up with class projects, now it’s on to Christmas projects. Then I get to pack up the house - ii, yi, yi! I can’t wait for it all to be over.
