A moment of vanity…

Thoughts running threw my head whilst taking a shower…

I am going to be thirty in a month.  THIRTY?  I have stretch marks!  And gray hair!  Hair that stays gray even when I color my hair!  What did I do to deserve this?

Oh.  Yeah.   nevermind…

I have gray too. Have had it for a little while now.
I’ll join you being thirty at the end of the year.
Funny- I don’t feel that old.

Vanity shmanity. Turning thirty IS kinda freaky… but you know what’ freakier?? Turning 35!!! That’ll be me in 3 months! Ack!!

You should know that you hide your grays very well! And I don’t see a single stretch mark in those flckr pics, either. ;)

When I was 12, 30 was old. Now that I’m 23, 30 doesn’t seem so old to me. I have a friend that’s 34 and trust me, NOT OLD!

    You’re good to go!!!

Turning 30 was hard for me. Now that it’s been 6 months, it doesn’t seem old to me anymore. The 40 thing, now that is going to scare me. YOu really don’t look you’re age, by the way! Sorry to hear about the gray’s. I don’t have those yet, so don’t know what to tell ya! :)

Let the voice of wisdom kick in (ahem-yeah…right…): For me, 30 rocked. The decade just flat out kicked ass. I adored being in my 30s. As the years progressed, I felt I was becoming more and more *myself,*whittling out the extraneous to become more the essence of *me.* And it was a fabulous time.

I didn’t start to actually feel my age and get grey hair until I turned 40 (of course, I also had a four month old baby so that accounts for much of it).

I’m turning 41 in about six weeks and feel like screaming. Instead, I’ll probably dye my hair purple. But 30? Ahhhh, such good times!

Oh, yeah…and the best year in that decade was 37. There’s something just magical about that age. All my older friends have experienced it too.

    The fun is just beginning.

30 was grand. Now that I am pushing 35, I’m feeling old. Creaky, old lady, wrinkles old. Gah. But I am taking hope in the 37 is great comment…
