Wine of the Week…
Moselland Arsvitis Riesling - Vintage 2003 A crisp slightly sweet medium bodied white wine that goes well with cold meats, salads, and seafood, this Riesling comes in a beautiful bottle with an artful winter scene. This wine is a product of Germany and is reasonably priced.
I am not a big white wine drinker. I like a little Chardonnay and some Riesling, but found that this bottle was just too sweet for me. However, I would recommend this wine to someone who likes the sweeter wines, and also think this would make a great wine to bring to a holiday party as the bottle is so festive.

Is it a dry sweet??? I’m not a big fan of dry wines, but the right one sometimes is OK- any suggestions? My favorite is Lambrusco. In fact, I’m getting ready to leave to go have some!! Have a lovely evening!

You are so sophisticated! I know NOTHING about wine, a definate shortcoming of mine in the hostess department! I will keep reading and one day it may sink into this brain of mine!
Back to another week again… they go by SO FAST!

I too like wine but I’m limited to, “Oh, I’ll have the White Zinfandel” and like that fine but really don’t know any different or better. If we are out and we are having drinks (not common), I dread the ordering wine part. I know I will sound ignorant! Recently, I’ve discovered apple martinis. Yumola! I’ve never even had a martini till that point in time. I always thought a martini to be tasteless and dry. Just had that in my head. Probably wrong, I don’t know, but the martini I tried was an apple one and it was the best thing ever. Try it!
I still have to educate myself on wine though. Maybe one day. Till then, I’ll depend on you!

I don’t know if you can get these in the USA but I can personally recommend two Australian wines from the same vineyard.
Lost Sheep Sauvignon Blanc and Lost Sheep Chardonnay, both of which retail over here for the equivalent of around $8.00 and are fantastic value.

You don’t need to be an wine expert in order to enjoy wine. It’s like saying you need to be sound engineer to play piano. All I know is that I enjoy wine. Have any of you ever tried Lindeman’s Shiraz? I just love it.
