I’m so cute!

One of Toby’s new favorite sayings this past month, at the most convenient times (for him), is “I’m so cute!” Whenever I scold him or tell him he can’t do something, his reply is, “but I’m sooo cute, Mummy.” The biggest problem is that he is right. Him pointing out the fact just makes a difficult task even more trying.

When we were at a Renaissance Festival this week, he asked to join the big kids in scurrying up the climbing wall. When I told him “no, you are too little” he was upset and debated with me that he indeed was a big boy. Then it came to me. “No, Toby. You are too cute for the climbing wall.” He settled down in his stroller and didn’t say another word. Surprisingly, he hasn’t told me he was “too cute” for anything this week. Maybe Mummy is “too smart?”
