I’ve got a fever
I just finished watching The Fever. Wow. I am still in massive thinking overload. I have started several post in the last few months on similar topics regarding consumerism and wealth in America. I never finish them or post them in fear of really offending people and for my lack of solution in my own life. I know I am working on cutting back my waste and overabundance, trying to teach my children the same, but I have only just begun. I have always been a giving person, but I need to do more.
If you have seen this movie then, Let’s Talk! I would love to know your feelings coming away from the message. If you haven’t watched this movie yet, then I think you should. Really. It’s on HBO right now and if you don’t have that, it really is worth renting. After watching the movie, I went to read reviews - so limited- and a few people mentioned that the film has been dubbed as just another liberal movie, but I think that is unfair. This film encourages thinking, regardless if one agrees with every point made in the movie, it has a message that is important.
This is the point where I have to stop myself from rambling on about my pet peeve of consumerism in America. I am by no way exempt from the blame of over indulgence. I realize that. I mean, I have advertisements all over my blog, right? I do urge everyone to watch this movie, though; I doubt that you will regret it!

I think you should post them. I think your desire to provoke thought and raise awareness and not offend or attack comes through in your writing. I personally appreciate learning along with you.

Sounds interesting, I’ll have to see if my library has it.

I haven’t seen the movie but I will. Have you read The Last American Man? I just started it, and it’s AMAZING. I think you of all people would really enjoy it.
