I want candy!
Today’s Give Me Five and is a fun one, for sure! I may not be a big participant in Easter or St. Paddy’s day, but I like to partake of some candy. Here are my top five:
1. Gum. I’ve had a thing for gum since I could remember. One of my fondest memories of my bio-dad is walking down to the corner store and him letting me pick out a few packs. I always picked real sugary ones because my mom would never let me have that kind at home.
I know some people consider it a nasty habit (one I have passed onto the boys I am afraid) but more times then not you will find me chewing on a piece of gum. One thing I can’t stand, though, is people who chew or audibly or chomp on thier gum with their mouth open. Yuck.
2. Hot Tamales. This is how I judge a good movie theater, if they have Hot Tamales, I will continue to patronize that theater. If they don’t, I won’t bother to visit. We have a lot of movie theaters around here and it seems that about 50% of them have them. These are definitely my favorite candies besides gum.
3. Swedish Fish. I can’t eat too many at one time, but I definitely enjoy Swedish Fish. Yeah, apparently I have a fetish for Red Dye #40. So good for me, I know! ![]()
4.Cadbury Creme Eggs. My sis and I have always loved them and used to eat them together all the time. Sadly, this year I never even had one. I had a craving for them the other day, but couldn’t find any leftover in the stores.
5. Caramello. I used to eat these all the time back during my grade school years. We used to sell them for fund raisers. I think I was my own biggest buyer. Yum! I can’t even remember the last time I have seen or had one of these.
What’s your favorite candy?

I love Orbit gum (but hate their commercials hehe). The flavor lasts so long with that gum - it is definitely my favorite gum.

Yes, Yes Yes! Cadbury cream eggs, how could I have forgotten those once per year delights that cause you mouth to water just thinking about them!? For some reason, I never thought of gum! I chew it all the time. It’s official, a list of only 5 is just too short for this topic! LOL

Mmmm…making me have some sugar cravings. Swedish fish, Cadbury creme eggs and caramellos are all sooo yummy! I also am a big sour gummi worms addict, though I only have them once or twice a year…

I would substitute the Swedish for fish for an Almond joy, eb\everything else I love. Rolo’s also make a good substitute for Caramelllos, plus I don’t feel the need to eat the whole bar.
