Eight is Enough
Erika from Tales from the Tracks tagged me for a fun little meme, and I am merely thrilled to oblige. Things here are still in the crazy zone, so a chance to wiggle out of a post topic is more then welcome.
1. The rules of this game insist you must share 8 little known or unusual facts about yourself. While I am not sure I can come up with 8 things that none of my readers know about me (as you all know I am completely boring and an open book), I will do my best.
2. When I was a little girl around 3-4 year old, I loved Spiderman and the Incredible Hulk. No Barbies for me. Oh, and Toby loves Spiderman now, so I am happy to share that with him.
3. Once I turned 5, I became OBSESSED with Little Orphan Annie. I used to have a record player and her record and would dance around and sing all her songs. Actually, I bet I could still sing almost all the words to those same very songs.
4. Sometime when I was in elementary school my brothers, sister and I were out exploring in the deep woods that surrounded where we lived. We found a bloody yellow rain hat and other items near a little shack. This really scared me. When we showed our parents, they didn’t really seem to think it was anything. It still scared me and I never went that deep into our woods again.
5. We moved around a lot when I was a kid. It was always within Massachusetts and New Hampshire, but I used to wish that we would just stay put in one place. Now, I have the bug to move. I have lived in Florida for 10 years- the longest I have lived in one place.
6. I used to enter bubble blowing contest as a kid. Out of the 5 contest that I can recall entering, only once did I not come in first place. I am addicted to gum (so our my boys).
7. I can not watch scary movies. The first time I can remember being scared was when I was visiting my Grandma when my Aunt and Uncle still lived with her. They were watching Jaws and were not supposed to let me watch. They did and I had nightmares. We all got in trouble for that one.
8. One of my biggest dreams is to travel. I have wanted to do so since I was 9 years old. I often lay in bed at night and dream about the day when I finally get a chance to visit the places I have always wanted to see. Sometimes I worry that I will never get the chance to fulfill this life long dream.
Well, that’s it for me. Who wants to play along, too? The rules dictate that I must tag eight more people. Here are my eight tags:
- A Simple Life
- AlabamaBrands
- My Fantastic Mess
- Stella & Thomas
- Chichimama
- Crazy Working Mom
- Sock Girl
- Frugalmom
Ready, Set, Go!

I’ll try and think about this one. If I can come up with 8 worthwhile things to post, you’ll see it.
I feel like you- an open book.

I’m not into the scary movies, either. Anywhere in particular you’d like to travel?
Thanks for participating!

I didn’t watch Annie as a kid, but I knew the music from school. My little girls love it now though and I’ve seen it many times with them. Great fun.

I have Annie on DVD, and the new Annie on VHS. I still along wit them. I’m sure somewhere my parents still have my original album, along with my Avin & the Chipmunk 8-tracks.
