Do you know the Muffin Man?
Today was an exceptionally boring day. Boring is good sometimes, but too much of it gets to me. I spent the morning chasing the kids and telling them to “get off the table… “(Ty and Toby) and “don’t download software to my computer” (Toby)..” and “stop trying to use your father’s cigarette lighter” (Ty). So by the time John got up, which was almost the boys nap time, I had had it. I would of taken them out sooner to play and such but wanted a shower terribly this morning and missed the opportunity before the boys got up, can’t leave them alone for 5 minutes as you might imagine, and didn’t want to take them in the shower and have to have another discussion with Ty about Mummy’s body parts. So thus was our morning…During nap I baked 3 batches of apricot muffins and caught up on Supernanny. I cried my eyes out when I heard the little boy with Autism say his first words….After nap I ran an errand and then took the boys across the street to play with the neighbors. We attempted a walk but the boys decided half way down the street this was not for them and they much rather whine and fight over bikes, so back to home we went. I struggled to make dinner while the boys watched the “donkey moomie” aka Shrek and after dinner had our usual dancing to “b.y.o.b.” to get the extra energy out.
Now that they are in bed, my hubby is playing his lovely computer games and I got in a little online shopping . So, overall, not a terrible day, just nothing too interesting to blog about I say.
Oh, and Spice, I never meant to offend you. I didn’t even think the word catty through thoroughly. You are way cooler than these women are, so in a sense, that word would be entirely wrong. Might I use the word witch? Or are there any witches out there that are offended now? or witch with a b? any dogs offended out there? maybe I should just not say anything…

Dancing before bedtime is a great idea…think I’ll steal that one to use on my five year old who has two modes: full on or passed out. I had a blah weekend too…but yours was really productive compared to mine…good for you!!

Muffins sound great.
The mummy’s body parts discussion happens with my daughter in the shower too. No privacy!
Every once in a while I long for the good old days B.C. (before children!) The rewards of motherhood are great, but I was so unapprieciative of the concept of Free Time and Privacy before I had them! What I wouldn’t give for a quiet afternoon by myself…

Those are the kind of evenings I love. The ones where you just get to hang out as a family and relax (ok well chasing kids probably isn’t relaxing too much). The days where you don’t really have anything to do.
Have a good afternoon k.
Come visit me sometime, I hardly see you at my site anymore.

Shrek 3 was an awesome movie. Has anyone watched Shrek The Halls? It’s a short Shrek Christmas movie.
