The poly poll results are…
This poll brought out the most people to vote, by far. I am not surprised by the results at all. It seems that the responses this poll ended with are pretty congruent with the way the general American public feels. I thought for awhile that we would end with a clean half and half, as that is the way it ran for most of the week, but at the end “not for me, but…” came out on top.
I have to admit that after watching “Big Love” it did make me think more about what it would be like to have sister wives. In my moments of desperation when trying to make dinner, clean, and entertain the kids, I think it would be nice to have someone to help me out with everything, like they do in the show- of course that IS TV. It might be nice to have a sister/friend there all the time, too. Of course, it also might drive me even more crazy having someone else there all the time
Double edge sword, right?
I don’t think I could stifle the jealous and competitive feelings that this type of life would involve. I am not so great with competition. People that embark on a plural marriage family have to have special qualities that I am not sure I contain. I watched a special on HBO that spoke with plural marriage families in relation to the show it and was interesting listening to what they had to say and how average the people seemed. They could be my next door neighbor and I wouldn’t have a clue.
This weeks poll was brought about a question I first raised in my post about Tampa teachers. With my kids back in school again, it reminds me of all the different things I need to be concerned about. Not only do I need to worry about the kids they hang around, but the teachers as well. I have to say that is not a good feeling.
Please, cast your vote and let’s see if we can keep our momentum going!

[…] Last week’s poll had very low participation. It seemed that the few who did participate agreed that in some form or another teachers should be required to pass a drug test, in the very least, upon pre-hire. I have thought this would be a good idea for a while now, since my school district has some on-going issues. I guess my next step will be to write some letters. […]
