Stuff I made

Still here and alive. Admittedly, not too motivated to post lately and even had ideas of calling it quits as of late. I keep thinking that would be such a shame when I just put up my new digs and all, but that is half the problem.

Even though I haven’t been expressing my creativity here on my blog, I have been busy doing so other places. I haven’t been sewing as much as before the holidays, but still whipping out a project a week. This one is a soft flannel bag that I made and embroidered for a friend’s new baby. I placed the gifts we purchased in side. The bag turned out to be our friend’s favorite part!

So the next one, I didn’t sew, but technically I did make :) This was part of Ty’s birthday walk, which was very simple and sweet. The most surprising part of the entire celebration was that my normally loud and boisterous son became a quiet and shy little boy when in front of his class speaking.

In this one I made the kid and the poster. Let me tell you, making that poster about him through the years was just the cartalyst I needed to send me into more tears.

Lastly, I can’t take any real credit for this one. All I did was provide chaffeur services and encouragement. He worked really hard and did the rest. (For those of you who noticed the NEW! red uniform, this is because Ty was accepted into the Black Belt Club at his TKD school. I am not proud or anything.)

Good Job, Ty! I love your little satchel, it’s way to cute. Oh, please don’t go anywhere… we love you. I do understand the feelings though, I blame mine on the tough winter we are having! And the sickness… it’s just lingering!

As you know, I took most of the month of January off, I really needed to do that in order to keep alive whatever small amounts of creative juice I still had left.

Now, I’m feeling much better, so take a break if you need to, it’s ok!

And, your boy is such a cutie!
