Still here.

Even after yesterday’s post, I decided to stay. My hubby knew I had a bad day and stopped on the way home and picked up a bottle of my most favorite wine. It has been about 2 months since I had a glass of wine and over a year since I spent the kind of money it takes to buy my favorite wine. This was definitely a most welcomed and appreciated gift. Not only that, but he even spent the entire night talking and hanging around with me, instead of our usual go separate ways after catching up. Is he not the best??? I guess I will stay for a little while longer….

Hi boogiemum! You don’t know me, but your husband should. Ask him if he remembers a trip to Disney with his cousin and Grandma about 23 years ago. I still have the pictures! I’m sure we could share some interesting stories about families! Our own twisted Greek Wedding story! I was thrilled to find your blog and hope we can get in touch. Tell J I say hello and hope is all is well. I especially enjoyed seeing pictures of your family (I haven’t seen J’s mom since I was a child - WOW!). Beautiful children! It’s good to know SOMEONE in this family is doing well. If you ever need to talk to someone on the outside, but with some inside knowledge, you just let me know. I pretty sure I can relate - being a decendent of J’s uncle and all (wink, wink. nudge, nudge)

Keep up the blogging, even if no one is “listening.” It’s theraputic.

    Nea

Despite what I’m about to say, I’m actually not a lush. But here it is: I have always found that my favorite wine can make everything so much better at the end of the day. Not every day! But hard days for sure. Between that and the evening conversation, I’m smiling for you.

Ah what a great hubby! So on $500 bucks in a night you can probably go to Vegas! Ya Vegas! No scratch that…find a spa that doesn’t allow children and find a babysitter. You should break out even and relaxed…well for a bit at least!

You don’t know me, but I know your husband. Ask if he remembers going to Disney with his cousin, Grandma and Ann when he was about 8. I’m so glad to have stumbled across your blog. I spent hours reading your posts last night and “catching up” of sorts. If you ever need the ear of someone who has a little insight on J’s family, you get in touch with me! If anyone understands their craziness, it’s me. Well, I don’t know that I understand it, but I can relate to being on the edge of it! Just remember, what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.

I agree with the spa idea. Lounge, soak, get a rub down, whatever. No kids. No nothing. Just you in a terrycloth robe and borrowed slippers, sipping on water with a slice of lemon and reading “Coastal Living” while somewhat paints your toenails “Fire Engine Red.”

How sweet. It’s nice when they get it.
