Frugal Friday III…
I have decided that in theme with this month, all my “frugal friday” post will involve ways to save on Christmas. At a time of year when you need to buy so much, little ways to save can really add up and make a difference. This season also brings on the excess of trash, so let me warn you, please save your cards, save your paper and bags, I have ideas of things to do with them…
The first one I am about to talk about I actually got from a co-worker about 6 years ago. Christmas tree skirts are expensive, aren’t they? Well, not if you purchase a round tablecloth and cut a slit in it. For some reason tablecloths are less expensive than a tree skirt even though they have about the same amount of cloth and materials invested in them. Not only is it so simple to do, it looks great too. You can even buy matching cloth napkins and if you are really handy, cut and sew them into Christmas stockings. Inexpensive and coordinated, that’s my style!

Hey, I feel so smart! I have a green tablecloth that I bought for a table we don’t own any more, and it’s my permanent tree skirt.
I love this feature! Now tell me how to shop for all my nieces and nephews without going broke. Please.
